What actually diversifies your portfolio?

Most overlap tools tell you what you already hold twice. This flips it around: paste your holdings and it ranks every asset class you don’t hold (or barely do) by how little it has historically moved with your current mix — using the same monthly-return history as the backtest, not a separate estimate. Nothing is saved or sent anywhere but the pricing API. Funds are matched to a long-history asset-class proxy; individual stocks use their own record where we have it.

What this isn’t

Low historical correlation isn’t a promise — a true diversifier can still lose money, just not for the same reason your existing holdings would. And correlations shift over time; this is a read on the past, not a forecast. Asset classes with under 3 years of overlapping history with your portfolio are left out rather than reported on thin data.
